Hello Hadaway.

If you hadn't noticed the site has been having a lot of downtime recently.  This was because Hadaway's forum installation had a lot of broken files and mods in it.  So many that it was bringing down the entire server.  I have attempted to fix these problems several times.  And each time, new ones would pop up.  This has resulted in getting my hosting account suspended 4 times in the past 2 months.  Which has not made me particularly happy and has forced me to spend a lot of unnecessary time fighting with my host to get everything back up.

After speaking with Mush and presenting him with the options,  it was decided that there would be a fresh install.  A clean slate as you will.  I know this site isn't very active these days, however I know you all still seem to care about it enough to keep visiting.  So now you get a chance to start fresh.  New posts, topics, everything.

I will attempt to see if I can create an archive of the site, but there are no guarantees that is is salvagable.


So then, welcome to New Hadaway.  Be sure to register and tell anyone who might need to know what's going on.  Also, you can tell me where you want to go from here.

I personally think we don't *need* an archive. It's such a small group of us, it's not like there's anything majorly-important that we need to keep, anything we had, we can re-post. So I say, don't worry about archiving, FH

Don't worry about creating an archive for us FH. There isn't anything that we need out of the old site. It means a lot that you went through the trouble of doing this for us.

A couple of additional boards might be nice, and the only thing that really needs to be done now, is fix where the text won't push down, but keep going to the beyond when you're typing a new post.

But we're not high maintenance. Or well, on purpose.

I also realize this is still Mush's site in a way. But (unless it would cause more problems) if there is someone that is more active that could take a mod/admin position to make boards and float things. It'd be nice to just make some things convenient.

Nothing pressing. And once again, thank you SOSOSO much for everything that you've done for us with this last crash, and everything before. We're very grateful.

And I think that once the other regular users re-register, things should be fine.  The threads that we most posted in can be recreated, I don't really think we need the past posts.

Me and FH discussed and me and him will be the only Admins. I know I'm not the most active but honestly once we get the bare bones up that's all we need and should be pretty automated by then.

But for now, what boards would you all like? I mean only the General Discussion board seemed to be getting activity and only really the chat thread. I could see potentially a use for a separate VG discussion board but other than that no clue. But boards are easy to make and I'm up for anything.

I took screen shots of what we used to have on the main board if you can't remember exactly what we had.
I'd say the most frequently posted in were Forum Games, The Wall, Serious Discussion, and Blog Board.

I say all we need for now is General Discussion, Serious Discussion, and VG Discussion....possibly forum games, but I know I was never active in that and for the amount of active users we have it kind of seems pointless to me. The two or three that will use it will just go back and forth until their post count is through the roof.

I've always enjoyed the forum games, but I guess if we didn't have them it wouldn't be the end of the world... Unless the world ends in December. Then, maybe.

You guys realize you can run forum games in the main discussion board right? I doubt it will get knocked off the first page or interfere with other topics.  basically treat the board as a "whatever doesn't fit elsewhere, can go here" sort of board.
